.:SYSTEM EXAMPLES
System size and cost depends on the
customer’s needs and the characteristics of the
site. The two primary factors are a) roof type
and b) length and placement of wire runs.
Below is a description of 2 of our typical residential
systems in the Honolulu area (5.54
kWh/m2/day of solar radiation):

The typical electric bill for most
households ranges from 500 kWh to 1500 kWh per month,
depending on the number of occupants and lifestyle habits.
Appliances efficiency and energy conservation practices
are another factor. Depending on the size of the
photovoltaic system installed, a substantial amount
of the bill can be covered. A larger system will
need more roof space to accommodate the additional panels.
Solar Wave Hawaii offers a variety of systems to suit your energy usage and budget. At the current rate of $0.28, our smallest system will produce approximately $46.00/month, while one of our larger systems will create about $208.60/month. Investing in a larger system could even create near total independence from the utility provider. Please fill in our assessment form for a complementary estimate. One of our designers will work with you to find a system that will best suit your household’s needs.
Our systems are installed with either
a 3.5 kW inverter or a 5.2 kW inverter so you have the
option to add more panels later. Spreading out
the system into a two year plan will help you maximize
tax credits, therefore reducing the overall cost.
